Business Cards

I have been quite busy today making my new business card. It is safe to say that I am ready for a break from this computer!!! Anyhow, here is the front of my card:

and here is the back:

I went live!

Well...I can't believe a year has already gone by since I first became serious about actually being a REAL photographer! Last June I bought my camera and afterwards helped my friend shoot at weddings throughout the year (and learned SOOOO much), and practiced on many people. So, thank you if you let me take your pictures this last year. You'll never know how much I appreciate it!

Anyway, I thought this would be a fast process. Take a few pictures here and there, edit, get a website, put it together, launch. Well, I don't think a year was very fast but I do realize even now looking back at my first images how much I have improved. If you go back to my first entry on the blog it was June 08 I believe and I had just bought photoshop. Wow. My list of things to buy continues to grow (and get more expensive - it never ends)!

My main reason for this entry is to let you know that I have launched MY REAL website! I have a .com! I am so excited. Without further ado, check it out and let me know what you think! Hopefully I can photograph YOU one of these days!!

Maternity - 36 weeks

This was my first real maternity session! After my status update on facebook of "Melissa has a maternity session this morning" I got a few questions..."What's a maternity session?" No, it has nothing to do with me, sorry to disappoint. It is simply taking pictures of a pregnant woman. :) I love the silhouette!

A new personal favorite...love me some blue eyes!!!

Precious innocence!

Profile. Again, they are not finding out the gender of the baby! How they do it I'll never know!

Beautiful!! I can't wait for baby E number two to get here so I can get those "make your heart melt" shots of a precious newborn!!

Wheat Harvest

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing these two seniors before all of the wheat had been cut!! Todd helps drive the grain cart during harvest. I had a good time getting him to smile for his pictures!!

I thought this was a really fun image of Mallory in her wheat field! There are so many great images of both of these seniors-to-be!

Thanks for letting me be a part of such a fun time in your lives!

June Photography Class

My friend Dena and I spent a few days in Newton for a Senior Photography class by Kirk Voclain.  It was amazing and I learned so much. One afternoon we walked around the campus and practiced taking pictures. It was a great time and really got me motivated to get busy with my photography again. So, for the last few days I've been working on my website!! I hope to have it up by  next week!!

This is Dena!!

Mother's Day Surprise

These 4 siblings got together for pictures today hoping to be able to surprise mom this weekend! They turned out fabulous...I'm very excited to see/hear from "mom" when she realizes what her kids have been up to! Plenty of excuses were given in order to pull this off...great job kids! :) Happy Mother's Day to you all!!

Miss Sydney

Miss Sydney turns one this week! I went to visit and take her one year/Easter pictures! She is such a doll. I love her eyes...they are so beautiful.

Long, pretty eyelashes!
